Awkwafina

Awkwafina, an American performer and actress, started with humorous rap tracks that dealt with issues of race and sexuality. Her fame grew into Hollywood after she released several rap songs. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her very first music experience. She played the trumpet. Also, she received classical and jazz training later becoming a hip-hop teenager. When she was in the college years, she remained focused on her studies. She took up a degree in women's studies as well as journalism. While she was for a brief amount of time, in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also available. However, it wasn't until she graduated that she turned her attention to music. Her track in 2012 My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success across the Internet before settling on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. It also included other hit songs that went viral, such as the body-positive Queef and winking hometown tour NYC Bitche$1. The track that was published is directly linked to the album The Awkwafinas Guide to NYC, her 2015 travel guide. After having a great career as a singer She took on the role of an actor. In addition to early series that included Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in the movies Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. The actress made headlines in 2018 with a few notable films like Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. This June, she released her new EP "In Fina We Trust".
